Returning again and again
To that place of rest at your feet,
Quiet and safe, open and free,
Intertwined with a single heartbeat.
Returning again and again
To my home of oneness with you,
Dwelling in you as you dwell in me,
Here I’m refreshed and renewed.
Returning again and again,
A gentle descent into rest,
A composed repose, reclining at peace,
Nestled upon your breast.
Returning again and again
To roost in your Tree of Life,
Settled and still, serene and tranquil,
Loosed from my striving and strife.
Returning again and again,
Tucked under dependable wings,
Fortified, strengthened in trustworthy shelter,
Secure in the tent of my king.
