Fiery inferno: destruction or refining?
Weight and pressure: crushing or cohesion?
Yielding ashes and rubble, or gold and diamonds?
Fear says the former; faith says the latter.
Here’s the truth:
There are no diamonds Save through fierce heat and pressure. Pure gold is attained In the crucible alone. Gemstones are mined From the deep, hidden places, Born out of fire, Pressed by YHWH’s millstones.
Am I brave enough To stay in the fire? ...Withstand the pressure? ...Stay under this weight? Yet here in the depths Lay the truest of treasures, Rarest of gems In this hidden estate.
This pressure bonds me In covenant union To the most precious jewel: The High King Above. So for joy set before me In the depths I’ll remain, Mine secret place treasures With the True Prince of Love.
“Lay your treasure in the dust . . . The Almighty will be your treasure, and precious silver to you.” (Job 22:24a,25 World English Bible)
