Let me see the holes in your hands.
Can I see the holes on your feet
and the wound in your side?
Let me see. I need to see
for myself so I will know
and no longer hide.
So you stretched out your hands, then
showed me your feet, and
the gash in your side.
I could not help but weep.
With my own eyes, I did see
and with my own hand, I did feel.
You peered back at me with a look
that pierced my soul and I knew,
without a doubt,
I’d doubt no more.
For it was you!
For it was you!
My eyes began to water.
My heart began to quake.
The tears rolled down my face as
I began to realize.
Then I laughed like a madman and
fell into your arms.
It was just as you said, though
I did not understand.
For they took you, you bled, and died.
Now, you’re here,
standing in front of me.
You are… who you say and
I believe!
Oh, I believe!
Then I turned with a shout for
the whole world to hear.
He has risen! He has risen, indeed!!!
He has risen! He has risen, indeed!!!
