Pray with me.

Lord, I come, I confess

Father, I humbly enter Your presence. I confess my sin of _______________, and I ask that You would wash me clean. My tattered soul needs Your forgiveness and grace to begin anew.

Bowing here I find my rest

It is in this place of submission, letting go of everything that holds me back, I find my rest. With my face to the floor, Father, I surrender ________________ to You. In its place, I take up Your yoke, Your rest.

Without You I fall apart

It is easy to feel like I have some sense of control, but Father, I know that without You, I have nothing. I want to no longer pretend that I have it all together. Although it feels like ________________ is falling apart, remind me that IN You and THROUGH You, all things are held together. You hem me in so that I am no longer frazzled and frayed, no longer falling apart.

You’re the one that guides my heart

Thank you, Lord, that you are my Guide. When my heart is heavy and burdened, You lift it up. Help me to keep my heart postured towards You and Your Word, so that when I stumble and fall, You are there to lift me up and show me the next step.

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You, Every hour, I need You

Forgive me for running to _______________________ instead of running to You. Oh, Lord, I need You more than the air I breathe. Satisfy me with Your love and fill me with Your truth. Filter my every desire through my infinite need for You.

My one defense, my righteousness

When attacks come from every side, I need only You as my defense. Reaching and striving no longer consume my thoughts and speech. You are the only defense I need. You have fought the battle and won the victory. Forgive me for seeking to gain righteousness by _____________________. It is only through the righteousness of Your Son that I am made clean.

Oh God, how I need You

Jesus, oh, how I need You in Your unchanging mercy and grace! There is not a day that passes that I don’t fall short and sin against You. My need for You never changes or wanes. Overtake my heart and my life so that I can live rescued and made whole in You.

Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more

My sin of __________________ runs so deep, Lord. Pull it out by the roots and sow new seeds of Your grace and mercy. May every root, every vine, every branch that has tried to entangle me fall away. Cover me in Your grace that I may confidently approach Your throne in worship.

Write with me.  Write and pray your own prayers based on the following lines.

Where grace is found is where You are

And where You are, Lord, I am free

Holiness is Christ in me

So teach my song to rise to You

When temptation comes my way

And when I cannot stand, I’ll fall on You

Jesus, You’re my hope and stay

Strong and Courageous

I think I’m strong and courageous. I think I’m bold and capable. I think I’m smart and clever. But really, I’m young and immature. I shiver with fear and shake with dread. When the wind howls and the lightning flashes, I cringe and cower. The enemy confronts,...

Trees of Righteousness

Fifteen minutes into the school day, I could tell that it was going to be another challenging morning. Several of the kids hadn’t completed their homework, the noise level was higher than acceptable, and two of the boys had already been arguing. I sighed. I felt once...

Living From the Unseen Realm

All around us is a world that is out of whack, digressing from its intended purpose and spinning out of control. This world puts obstacles in our path. It tears us down with insults and gossip. It floods our hearts with fear, anxiety, and stress about what negatives...
