Don’t Look Past Me

Please don’t look past me.
I am that widow, divorcee, single woman in your church.

Please don’t look past me…
I need prayer, too.

Please don’t look past me…
I need fellowship, too.

Please don’t look past me…
I also need care when I am sick.

Please don’t look past me…
I need to have a purpose, and I want to help.

Please don’t look past me…
Because I don’t have a husband or children.

Please don’t look past me…
Don’t expect me to create an event so I am not alone on a holiday.

Please don’t look past me…
I have many gifts that God has given me, and I want to share.

Please don’t look past me…
I need hugs, too.

Please don’t look past me…
I like to be invited.

Please don’t look past me.

“Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.”
(1 Timothy 5:3 NLT) singles & divorcees, too!

Signed,
An older, single woman

this breaks my heart for all those who find themselves alone in this life, in the church. we must each one care for one another, invite others into our family…this is what Father says is True Religion, “to care for widows and orphans.”
