A Splash of Spring

Life is stirred by the 

         stormy rain, 

as if drops released 

         all the growth  

that was hiding 

         in the darkness 

and coaxed the colors 

         to emerge 

for all who take notice 

         to see. 

I’m grateful for such 

         miracles. 

Artists would use a  

         splash of paint. 

God just uses a 

         splash of spring.
